1. I am a constant victim of wrong first impressions. People always think I’m snobbish and proud, mean, even, because I’m taciturn around people I’m not exactly friends with. As movie Mr. Darcy put it, I do not have the talent of conversing easily with people I have never met before.

2. The Rising Sun by Michael Crichton is the first novel I ever read. I was ten and didn’t understand half of it. 

3. Up until I was eight I genuinely believed I was adopted. I think it was partly because I look a lot less like my parents than my siblings do, but still mostly because my brother spent a great deal of his waking hours telling me they found me in a pigsty on Christmas day. My brother is a dickhead, clearly.

4. I have five godchildren. They take the fun out of the holidays because they leave me broke.

5. In fifth and sixth grade I luckily/unluckily picked my crush’s name for our class Secret Santa. (It’s the same boy, by the way. Haha.) But in fifth grade I let my friend be his Secret Santa instead because she also liked him. I should’ve been given the Friend of the Year Award for doing that.

6. Still on the topic of Secret Santas, in 3rd year high school I picked my math teacher, and he picked me. I wanted to strangle myself.

7. I bully my older sister. A lot.

8. My laptop broke today. 

9. I can’t swim.

10. When I was eleven I could recite all the lines in the first Harry Potter movie and had a strong, debilitating obsession with Daniel Radcliffe. It was almost a handicap.
